Video: Media takes Trump’s ‘bloodbath’ comments out of context – Trump Knows

Corporate media outlets took former President Donald Trump’s comments out of context over the weekend, claiming the former president was threatening a “bloodbath” in the United States if he does not win the 2024 presidential election. While corporate media repeatedly claimed Trump was promoting political violence, the former president was actually discussing challenges to the American automobile industry posed by China.

Examples of corporate media’s headlines over the weekend include NBC’s “Trump says there will be a ‘bloodbath’ if he loses the election,” Politico’s “Trump says country faces ‘bloodbath’ if Biden wins in November,” and Rolling Stones’s “Trump Says There Will Be a ‘Bloodbath’ and Elections Will End if He Isn’t Reelected.”

President Joe Biden’s campaign amplified corporate media’s attack on the former president, claiming that Trump is a “loser” who “doubles down on his threats of political violence” and “wants another January 6.”

While both the corporate media and the Biden campaign were quick to quote one line from a campaign speech Donald Trump made near a rally in Dayton, Ohio, on Saturday, neither the Biden campaign nor the corporate media provided the full context of Trump’s statement.

Trump’s statement regarding a “bloodbath” in the United States was in reference to the economic challenges that could face the United States if Chinese-owned car companies manufacture cars in Mexico to avoid paying U.S. tariffs, according to The Daily Wire.

Addressing China and President Xi Jinping, Trump stated, Those big, monster car manufacturing plants that you’re building in Mexico right now, and you think you’re going to get that, you’re going to not hire Americans and you’re going to sell the cars to us. Now, we’re going to put a 100% tariff on every single car that comes across the line.”

“And you’re not going to be able to sell those cars, if I get elected,” Trump added. “Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole, that’s going to be the least of it, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the country, that’ll be the least of it. But they’re not going to sell those cars.”

End Wokeness shared a side-by-side comparison of corporate media’s headlines with a video of the former president’s speech on social media, warning that Americans are “witnessing the invention of the ‘bloodbath’ hoax in real time.”

In response to corporate media taking his speech out of context, Trump released a statement on Truth Social, claiming that the “Fake News Media and their Democrat Partners… pretended to be shocked” by his comments despite knowing that he was referencing the current challenges facing the automobile industry.
