‘This Is My Rosa Parks Moment’: Black Woman Demands ‘Reparations’ From Target Staff

A black woman attacked Target staff and was then punched in the face by a store security guard after she demanded her $1,000 shopping spree be paid for with “reparations,” claiming that the public meltdown of racial entitlement was her “Rosa Parks moment.”

The Target reparations “Rosa Parks moment” took place back in October at a Target location in Blue Ash, Ohio, but has just recently become a viral sensation online after security footage of the incident began making the rounds, showing a woman named Karen Ivery being punched in the face by a security guard who she chased into a back room while demanding reparations.

In another, longer video clip based on store security and police body camera footage, the Target security guard explains to the responding officer that he punched Karen Ivery in the face after she chased him into his office, attempting to attack him.

“She started charging at me and I came all the way back into my office, into an enclosed space, and I hit her in the face,” the Target security guard explained to the officer.

After the police body camera footage is shown, the video goes back to the beginning of the incident when Karen Ivery, with $1,000 worth of merchandise in her shopping cart, demanded reparations from a store cashier.

The cashier obviously declined her request but was nice enough to recommend a charity for Ivery to look into. It was then that the bizarre episode began to unravel and Ivery got in the cashier’s face, started yelling, and backed her into a counter.

Shortly thereafter, store security intervened, and the dispute between Karen Ivery and the Target security guard commenced, ending with Ivery being punched in the face.

As a result of the incident and the police response, Ivery was charged with disorderly conduct and sentenced to 1 day in jail with a $100 fine.
