During the first “Russia, Russia, Russia” ‘investigation’, I told a friend that the Democrats were saying that Donald Trump was a Russian spy. He didn’t believe me. But it was true. They were saying it with a straight face on MSNBC and inferring it on the other mainstream channels. Keith Olbermann, a high ranking nut case was leading the charge. While it truly was unbelievable, many on the rabid left actually believed it.
Now, after the Mar-a-Lago raid, they are at it again. Look at these tweets:
For the warrant to cover the Espionage Act, there had to be PROBABLE CAUSE of espionage.
Not just a “what if Trump gave classified docs to foreign agents.”
There was PROOF presented to the judge — witness testimony, video footage, other documents, something. Tangible proof.

How long until Trump tries to fundraise off of potentially violating the Espionage Act?

Trust me, if Trump really was a spy our FBI would have snagged him a long time ago. You know, back in the old days when they mostly did stuff to protect America and not waste time doing the political bidding of the Democrats. That is, if there ever really was such a time.
Political columnist, Matt Taibbi, was particularly taken with the above tweet from Robert Reich. I paraphrased his remarks below.
“The most astounding of these tweets comes from Reich, who ought to be wiser. If I were Trump, I would unquestionably generate money by being subject to a Espionage Act investigation. The Justice Department just gave Trump the greatest favor of all by pursuing him under this clause, adding his name to a list of some of the most well-known political martyrs in our nation’s history.
A source close to Julian Assange remarked this morning, “Ellsberg, Hale, Winner, Snowden, Assange, and now Trump.” “Incredible.”
Anyone excited at the possibility of trying to prosecute a former president under the Espionage Act has blocked out the recent history of this statute. It’s possible that Reich can’t understand how this will play politically or doesn’t care. How vile is this Act, and how does it bring us all so low?”
