Kamala Harris Forced to Fly Back to D.C. in Military Cargo Plane From Munich

Vice President Kamala Harris got a hitch in her plans coming back to the United States from her stint in Germany, where she delivered a speech at the Munich Security Conference condemning Russia for human rights violations.

As Bloomberg’s Jennifer Jacobs reported on Twitter: “The @VP’s blue-and-white plane is broken down. Kamala Harris will be flying back to the US from Germany on the C-17 support plane.”

Here is Harris boarding the cargo plane in Munich:

A White House official blamed the change of flight plans to “maintenance difficulties.”

“NEW: Air Force Two having ‘maintenance difficulties’ so @VP will depart Munich to Washington DC on a back up aircraft, per @WhiteHouse official,” Patsy Widakuswara of VOA News reported.

At the Munich Security Conference, Kamala Harris gave a strong condemnation of Russia for its “crimes against humanity.”

“In the case of Russia’s actions in Ukraine, We have examined the evidence. We know the legal standards and there is no doubt…The United States has formally determined that Russia has committed crimes against humanity,” Harris said.

The Vice President also escalated the United States’ belligerent rhetoric against Russia.

“To all those who have perpetrated these crimes—and to their superiors who are complicit in those crimes—you will be held to account,” she added.

“The United States will support Ukraine for as long as it takes,” she continued. “We will always stand on the side of freedom, democracy, and justice.”

Ukraine is not a NATO member. It is one of the most corrupt nations in all of Europe. Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky has outlawed nearly a dozen opposition parties, nationalized the media, restricted freedom of speech, and has overseen religious persecution of the Orthodox Church. Prior to the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, which led to Ukraine becoming an independent nation, the U.S. pledged that NATO would not move an inch eastwards.

However, the United States, under the leadership of President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Secretary of State Tony Blinken, and Undersecretary of State Victoria Nuland have treated Ukraine muche like a NATO ally. The Biden administration has waged a proxy war in Ukraine against Russian aggression by supplying it with military and foreign aid, while risking a regional European war against a nuclear-armed power.

There are increasing questions in Germany and other nations abroad about accusations that President Joe Biden authorized the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines, which fed Russian natural gas to Germany.
