Reporting in an an article for the BBC, Anthony Zurcher is exposed as a leftist, rebel rousing, trouble maker. His biased reporting on the break-in and beating at the Pelosi home exposes him as such. Uninterested in reporting the facts in the case, he is more interested in stoking the Democrat’s narrative of violent political extremism being responsible for the infamous incident. He attempts to make the senseless violent crime of a crazy man emblematic of the political climate in America.
The perpetrator of the crime, David DePape has long been mentally ill. That’s according to his life-partner and the mother of his children, Gypsy Taub. She is a self described “progressive” and when asked about DePape’s political affiliations she revealed that when she met him 20 years ago, he didn’t have any. She added that “… he was very much in alignment with my views, and I’ve always been very progressive. I absolutely admire Nancy Pelosi.” Gypsy was interviewed by local San Francisco TV station, KGO (ABC 7).
Anthony Zucher apparently did no investigation of the suspected assailant, David DePape. If he did, he purposely omitted the information. Instead, he chose to somehow tie the senseless beating of Paul Pelosi to what he describes as the ” Violent extremism ahead of the American election.”
In the opening paragraph of the article that was headlined, “Paul Pelosi Attack:”, the following was printed in bold type:
The violent attack on Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s husband comes with just over a week to go before the US midterm elections – a moment when political tensions are coming to the boil.
Clearly he intended to associate the Pelosi incident with the American election. If that wasn’t deceitful enough, look at his next two paragraphs”
As if to emphasise this point, just a few hours after news of the assault on Paul Pelosi on Friday, the US government distributed a bulletin to law enforcement across the nation. It warned of a “heightened threat” of domestic violent extremism against candidates and election workers driven by individuals with “ideological grievances”.
Also on Friday, the US Department of Justice announced that a man from Pennsylvania had pleaded guilty to making multiple phoned death threats against an unnamed congressman – reported to be Democrat Eric Swalwell of California. The threats included telling a staff member in the congressman’s Washington office that he was going to come to the US Capitol with a firearm.
Considering the headline and the opening paragraphs, what is the reader to think of the motivation behind the beating of Paul Pelosi?
Zurcher is not fooling anybody that does even the least bit of research. He’s trying to sensationalize a senseless crime by a mentally ill perpetrator into an example of reported violence “ahead of the American election.” In other words, he’s purposely exaggerating the story to go along with the Democrat’s narrative of excess political violence and the need for more government control of ‘the situation’. He does the work of the demagogues that are trying to control the political narrative.
