David Hogg Fact Checked By Twitter For False Claims About Gun Rights

School shooting survivor-turned-gun control activist David Hogg was blasted on social media after falsely claiming Americans don’t have a right to own a gun, with one of his post’s being singled out for spreading misinformation by Twitter.

On Sunday, Hogg tweeted, “You have no right to a gun. You are not a militia.”

“When you’re talking about your second amendment rights you’re talking about a states right to have what is today the national guard,” the uneducated March For Our Lives founder claimed on Twitter. “The modern interpretation of 2A is a ridiculous fraud pushed for decades by the gun lobby.”

Hogg’s tweet was so deceitful, Twitter users slapped his post with a fact-check label, adding context disputing the misleading gun control narrative.

“While individual opinions about the proper reading of the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution differ widely, and have for generations, the United States Supreme Court has ruled that it does protect an individual right to bear arms (with certain limitations),” the context bubble reads, directing readers to the District of Columbia v. Heller SCOTUS case which ruled in favor of Second Amendment provisions. (Read late Justice Antonin Scalia’s opinion in the court case.)

Hogg later entertained delusional fantasies of becoming a martyr for his cause, telling his supporters if he’s murdered they could “politicize the fuck out of my death and use it to pass as many gun laws as possible and reverse engineer FedSoc to take over the court system and overturn Heller and Bruen.”

“Oh and drop my body at the NRA here’s the address 11250 Waples Mill Rd, Fairfax, VA,” he ridiculously added.

Despite his push to disarm law-abiding Americans, Hogg evidently doesn’t see the irony in hiring armed bodyguards to run his security detail.
