Damar Hamlin Makes Public Statement Since Near-Fatal Cardiac Arrest

Damar Hamlin, from the Buffalo Bills, was hospitalized after he nearly died from a heart attack during an NFL game. He is finally speaking out about what happened.

“What happened to me on Monday Night Football I feel is a direct example of God using me as a vessel to share my passion and my love directly from my heart with the entire world,” Hamlin said in an Instagram post captioned “From the Heart.

Hamlin also said that since he got out of the hospital on January 11, he has made “much progress.” “Mentally, physically, and even spiritually, it was a lot for me to deal with. Just a lot to think about. But I can’t tell you how grateful I am for all the love, support, and other things that have come my way,” Hamlin said.

“And now I’m able to give it back to kids and communities all across the world who need it the most, and that’s always been my dream. That’s always been what I stood for and what I’ll continue to stand for,” he said.

Damar Hamlin’s appearance at a Bills game last week had been the subject of controversy since fans were not able to see his face.

There were even conspiracy theorists who claimed Damar Hamlin was actually deceased and the NFL was covering it up.

Hamlin put that speculation to rest with his public posts.

There were others who were glad that Hamlin was alive and able to put an end to the speculation.

Hamlin’s cardiac arrest had come after he suffered a blow to his chest from Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins. After Hamlin was laid out, he stood up, wobbled, and then collapsed in a heap.

The Buffalo Bills said in a statement Hamlin had suffered a cardiac arrest.

The official Buffalo Bills account tweeted, “Damar Hamlin had a heart attack after getting hit in our game against the Bengals.” “His heartbeat was fixed on the field, and he was taken to the UC Medical Center for more tests and treatment.” He is now under sedation and his condition is listed as “critical.”

After his scary fall on Monday Night Football, where he had to get CPR on the field and reportedly died twice, he was said to have made a dramatic recovery.

Ian Rapoport said, “This is amazing: This is the first time Bills safety Damar Hamlin is talking to the team via Facetime.” “The breathing tube is out, and he’s been talking to different teammates on FaceTime all morning. Now, I’m told, he’s giving a speech to the whole group.”

Millions of people had prayed for Hamlin to get better, and over $6 million had been given to his charity toy drive.
