Climate Change Doomsday Predictions Going On For 50 Years

Pay attention now kids. It’s not science – it’s politics.
I’ve been listening to the bullshit for 50 years.

 

In the sixties, it was oil going to be gone in ten years.

In the seventies it was another ice age that was coming in ten years.

In the eighties it was acid rain that was destroying all the crops in ten years.

In the nineties it was the ozone layer that was going to be destroyed in ten years.

In the 2000’s it was the glaciers that would all melt in ten years.

In 2010’s it was the east and west coasts would be under water due to rising sea levels – in ten years.

None of this fear mongering came true. But it did result in higher taxes every time.
