Who are the real heroes of Father’s Day?
Canadian MSM never lets up: on the one day of the year you might think “hey, it’s OK to be male”, Canada’s Toronto Star chimes in with a borderline misandrist screed by way of an “opinion” piece by Mark Bulgutch (a former CBC executive producer) – who lectures us that men, fathers, in particular are “the least important character in the delivery room” and the real heroes of the day, are the mothers.
It’s almost as if Mother’s Day, just last month, doesn’t cut it because “Mother’s Day is a child-parent thing” – so, in lieu of a specific day when men honour their spouses who birthed their children, it should be Father’s Day. Get it?
According to Bulgutch: “Father’s Day is set aside so that children can thank Dad. That is completely unnecessary.”
Needless to say, the post was heavily ratioed on X:

Bulgutch claims to be married, but I think most real men – and real women – understand that Mothers Day and Fathers Day are traditional occasions when each parent is acknowledged and honoured by their entire family. The rest of the year – for men in particular – the shit flows downhill and that’s ok. It’s the gig, and we do it for our families.
But having a sanctimonious windbag beta-cuck from the corporate media come along and tell men, on Father’s Day that there shouldn’t be one measly day out of the year when their own families can observe their particular roles, because “The real heroes” of fathers day are the same heroes as Mother’s Day.
In the far-left, uber-woke zeitgeist of Canadian media – this is perfectly logical.
Especially from a corporate media outlet that is basically bankrupt and dependent on millions of dollars in government subsidies to survive.
