The media concealed the Hunter Biden story “because they were like, we can’t risk having the election given to Trump, we’ll tell them after the election,” according to Bill Maher, host of HBO’s “Real Time,” which aired on Friday.
“Sam Harris, a friend of mine, was on a podcast, Maher remarked.”
“Now look, let’s not pussyfoot about this, he was selling the influence of his father, Joe Biden. They were talking about Hunter Biden’s laptop, which was a story and now all the mainstream press has finally agreed it was a real story, it was a real laptop. Most political children do, after all. Even the CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, admitted that burying Hunter Biden’s laptop in the media was a mistake. As they remembered what happened with James Comey and the letter eleven days prior to the 2016 election, they buried the story. Sam Harris argues that it was legitimate for Twitter, the CEOs of major digital companies, and the leaders of news media organizations to perceive Trump as a once-in-a-lifetime moral emergency. Therefore, he is arguing that a plot to remove someone as awful as Trump is acceptable.”
“He is saying that’s what they did, and that is what they did,” Maher continued. “They decided to wait until after the election to tell them about Hunter Biden because they couldn’t risk losing the election to Trump.”
