Biden Lawyers Huddle In White House War Room To Prepare For GOP Investigation Onslaught

A team of lawyers for Joe Biden have begun holding meetings at a White House war room in response to the slew of impending House Republican-led investigations.

Team of about two dozen “lawyers, strategists and Capitol Hill veterans” have been gathering in a suite at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, once used by the Secretary of War, to coordinate a response to the wide-ranging probes House members plan to launch into Biden and his administration.

House Republicans vowed to investigate Biden, through several committees, over his administration’s role in Big Tech censorship, his crackhead son Hunter Biden‘s foreign business dealings, the weaponization of the Justice Department against his political opponents, the Department of Homeland Security’s role in the collapsed southern border, the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal, and the origins of COVID-19.

The development is a major signal the Biden team is preparing for political war because there are “real political risks at play, particularly as a likely reelection campaign draws closer,” NPR reported.

“If there are hints of corruption or scandal or impropriety, that will undermine the president’s ability to stay in the good graces of the electorate,” Eric Schultz, who worked for the Obama response team during the Solyndra, Benghazi, and Fast and Furious scandals, told NPR.

“The right-wing ecosystem has enough horsepower that even nonsense can get traction,” he noted.

The lawyers know the GOP investigations represent an existential threat to the survival of the Democrat Party given the severity of the allegations, The Western Journal‘s Peter Partoll claimed.

We are talking about an administration that possibly censored truthful information in order to influence an election and is now violating the civil rights of Americans.

If these allegations are proven to be true, then it could irreparably damage the credibility of Biden and the Democrats going into the 2024 election.

So Biden’s lawyers are absolutely right, this is indeed war. It is a battle for the very survival of the Biden administration and a battle to ensure that the government is held accountable to the people.

But Ian Sams, a spokesman for the White House counsel’s office, panned the GOP’s investigations as having no merit.

“Unfortunately, a lot of what we’ve seen so far have been political stunts, and hearings going after things that the American public doesn’t care about,” Sams said.

In addition to his legal war room, Biden is also getting outside help from non-profits to combat the GOP’s probes.

From NPR:

If this sounds like brass knuckles politics, it is. David Brock, a veteran of these sorts of partisan battles, leads another outside group that has sprung up to defend Biden called Facts First USA. It, too, doesn’t name its donors.

“A group like ours can say and do things that the White House won’t, can’t, shouldn’t say or do,” said Brock. In particular, while the White House may not want to talk about Hunter Biden, Brock and his group won’t shy away from the president’s son or his infamous laptop.

Officially, the White House isn’t endorsing these groups or their work but they also aren’t disavowing them.

Whether or not these investigations bear any meaningful fruit is yet to be seen, but Biden’s response to the looming investigations is a sign they’re taking them seriously.

But even if these investigations lead nowhere, Biden still has to contend with his low approval numbers not just among the general public but among his own party heading into 2024.
