“Are You Protecting the Bidens?” Gaetz Scorches Wray in Fiery Exchange on FBI Corruption

Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz lit up the FBI Director Christopher Wray in a fiery exchange during Congressional testimony on Wednesday morning.

“‘I’m sitting here with my father, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction, I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father,” Gaetz remarked, referring to a Hunter Biden WhatsApp message made to a Chinese businessman. “Sounds like a shakedown, doesn’t it? Director?”

“I’m not going to get into commenting on that,” Wray replied. Let it be noted that the FBI Director did not take the opportunity to set the record straight.

“You, you, you seem deeply uncurious about it, don’t you?” Gaetz remarked. “Almost suspiciously uncurious. Are you protecting the Bidens?”

“Absolutely not,” Wray shot back. “The FBI does…”

But Gaetz cut him off as Wray bridled at the accusation.

“You won’t answer the question about whether or not that’s a shakedown and everybody knows why you won’t answer it,” the Congressman replied. “Because to the millions of people who will see this, they know it is. And your inability to acknowledge that is deeply revealing about you.”

Last month, explosive whistleblower testimony revealed that Hunter Biden had sent a WhatsApp message allegedly with his father in the room coercing a Chinese state-affiliated national named Henry Zhao over what appears to be an illicit transaction.

Hunter had sent the threatening message to Harvest Fund Management director Henry Zhao, saying he was “sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled.”

“Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight,” the now-53-year-old said. “And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang, or the chairman, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction.”

As Rep. Claudi Tenney (R-NY) explained in a thread, it is highly plausible that Joe Biden may actually have been in the room with Hunter Biden when the alleged threat was made.

“Photos from Hunter Biden’s laptop place the President’s son at the Biden family’s Wilmington Delaware home on the same day the WhatsApp message was sent: July 30, 2017,” she said.

Furthermore, there are bank records backing up that Zhao actually sent over $5 million dollars to Hunter Biden ten days later, and then moved over $1 million to Joe Biden’s brother’s consulting firm. The bank then shut down his account due to suspected money laundering.

The New York Times’ Ken Vogel reported that “Within 10 days of Hunter Biden’s WhatsApp message to the Chinese official associated with CEFC, a CEFC subsidiary sent 2 payments totaling $5.1 million to accounts linked to Hunter, according to records cited in the Senate GOP Investigation.”

It now remains to be seen if Hunter Biden’s “sweetheart” plea deal holds up in court, thereby letting the president’s son escape prison time for three misdemeanor charges brought against him.
